The Origin of “Fire Publicity Day”
In the past,the Fire Telephone of our country is “09”,that’s because China’s special communication is the number “0” before 1970s.And in late 70s of 20 century,China's telecommunication service number changed from "0" to "11", according to standardized management requirements, unified fire alarm telephone number as "119", it is the homonym of Chinese "to save". So that the day of “119”became our “Fire Publicity Day”.
In 1992, the Ministry of Public Security issued a notice which set November 9th each year for the "119 fire protection publicity". To carry out this activity, because winter is the fire season. In order to improve the winter fire prevention work, take "119 fire protection publicity day" as an opportunity to open the winter off. "119 fire protection publicity day" refers to a period of time to carry out extensive fire safety publicity activities in various forms, in order to improve the fire safety awareness, and promote the socialization of fire prevention in the process.
